Overview

I led the creation of an improved delivery scheduling experience as part of a new POS system. I collaborated with the product owner to facilitate multiple design thinking sessions aimed at gathering requirements, assumptions, and hypotheses. We later validated with our in-store users. We leveraged existing research and conducted field visits to confirm our assumptions and gain additional insights. We identified three pain points:

  • Integrating it with the new POS experience.

  • Automate delivery date selection based on inventory, truck space, and special delivery requests

  • Provide alternative delivery options in case of limited inventory, date restrictions, or any special requests

We developed an MVP and created a prototype for on-site usability testing. After several tests and iterations, led to improved delivery scheduling, increased profits, and enhanced efficiencies for the business.
