In Q4 of 2021, I was tasked with enhancing our design system. At the time, the system was basic and lacked foundational elements such as typography, colors, and space scaling. Our goals were

• Create a partnership with the engineering team

• Migrate the design team to Figma from Sketch

• Establish foundational elements, and create a centralized location for documentation

We've successfully completed the migration to Figma, established a strong partnership with engineering, and implemented a governance process and design ceremonies to encourage collaboration.
